Don’t give your Sassa card to loan sharks

THE South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) is urging its social grant beneficiaries to stop giving their cards to loan sharks in exchange for a loan.

The grant was set up to assist the poor to afford basic necessities.

Sassa is pleading with beneficiaries to avoid giving their cards to loan sharks, who will end up demanding card PINs.

Sassa does not condone any fraudulent activities and the public is requested to report any criminal activity to 0800 60 10 11.
