On July 23, the forum had a meeting with all its Task Team Leaders from different branches of Ekurhuleni and took a resolution to suspend the Alberton and Benoni Human Settlement offices.

The shut down was said to take place today, July 24 but was later postponed and law enforcement were on scene to prevent any protests.

Among other issues, this was triggered by grievances of Ekurhuleni residents on RDP houses allocations at Tsakane ext 22, Palmridge ext 10 and 12 as well as Daveyton Toilets.
