We are in winter’s icy grips with cold mornings and freezing nights.
Kleenex South Africa shared their top five tips for surviving this winter:
Dress the part
Winter is one of those seasons that lends itself to accessorising. Pair a great coat with a knitted beanie, scarf and a funky pair of boots. Throw in a little animal print and a red lip, and you will be ready to brave the cold.
Wear thermals to keep warm
Thermals are a winter necessity. They are discreet and comfortable enough to wear under your clothes and add an extra layer of protection against the cold.
Get the herbal tea flowing
It is no secret that different herbal teas have real benefits for the body, especially in winter. Chamomile, green and ginger tea all aid in helping to boost one’s immunity, help soothe sore throats and help with boosting energy levels. So, if the cold is getting you down or you feel a sore throat coming on, boil the kettle and make yourself a nice cup of tea.
Winter sniffle savers
We all know the cold brings with it the annoying running nose. Whether you are sitting at your desk, walking to your car or popping out for lunch, it is bound to happen to you at some point or another, which is why having a pack of pocket soft tissues is essential.
Keep moving and have some fun
Get out there and have some fun. There are so many fun and exciting things to do in winter that you don’t need to stay bundled up at home. Try the new hottest food spot in your area, treat yourself to a mani and a pedi, take the children to the park to ride their bikes, go and watch movies, take a trip and create memories with your family and friends.
