Man critically injured after car crashes into pole in Alberton
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured on Sunday (September 8) afternoon when his light motor vehicle crashed into a light pole at the Heidelberg and Epsom Road intersection in Alberton.

Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, said ER24 medics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the provincial Fire Services already in attendance.
On closer inspection, medics found that the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, had already been extricated from the vehicle. Assessments showed that the man had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition, added Meiring
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to a provincial hospital for further care.
