Following violence and abuse of women and children in South Africa, the company’s staff decided it is time to take a firm stand against violence against women and children.

They condemned the issue of women being victimised and wore T-shirts condemning rape and violence. They also did this through a placard which discouraged these social ills.

According to George White, manager at Copy 2 Print, the awareness campaign was primarily hosted as a means to discourage abuse in women.

“Our customers were in for a surprise as they saw us in our printed T-shirts. We want to raise our voice as a company, mostly as men, that these killings and abuse should stop.

“It should be noted that men will never have the same strength as women, we are showing our support for women,” said White.

He also said that the awareness was inspired by President Cyril Ramaphosa’s gender-based violence and xenophobia speech, which he presented on September 5.
