SAPS and community partrollers educate the small children of Alberton

ON Wednesday January 15, Alberton SAPS presented a rape and drug awareness day at Rondebult that included a visit to Little Fingers day care centre to educate the children of the community. Police members and community patrollers shared information and knowledge about the topic.

Constable Mgedezi talked to the children about rape awareness and gave them police contact numbers.

Pamphlets were distributed house to house by community patrollers and the police, who gave tips about rape, drugs, domestic violence and alcohol abuse.

Lieutenant Colonel Maswanganyi was in charge of the whole project; he also distributed pamphlets and comforted the babies while the older children were addressed by the members involved. They were: Lieutenant Colonel Maswanganyi, W/O Mabaso, Sergeant Nkuna and Constable Mgedezi and community patrollers.
