Do recyclers pose a danger to motorists with their trolleys?

The RECORD asked Albertonians if they thought recyclers posed danger to motorists with their trolleys.

The RECORD asked Albertonians if they thought recyclers posed a danger to motorists with their trolleys – this is what they had to say.

SAMANTHA ANGELOU: “They do pose a danger to motorists. I think they just have to make sure that their trolleys don’t lose control to avoid being run over.”

CLEOPATRA MABOELA: “I don’t think so. Those people are actually cleaning up and motorists should just be more alert while on the roads. Some of these people are either struggling to get jobs or it’s probably an elder who has to take care of their grandchildren.”

CATHY LEWIS: “It’s more about cars being a danger to them. At the end of the day they have to do what they have to do. They should wear safety clothing to avoid any accidents.”

IMRE HANEKOM: “I understand that it is their livelihood. They are, however, a danger to the motorists that they share the road with.”
