TO promote hygiene, Ward 38 councillor Malcolm Maifala, with partners, kicked off their monthly clean-up project on October 12 at the Brackenhurst Library.
In partnership with Rawson Properties, Brackenhurst Brackendowns Residents’ Association (BBRA), A Re Sebetseng and the Skip Boys, the clean-up was a success.
The cleaning got a few Ward 38 residents taking the lead in keeping the library tidy.
“We are thankful for the support from Rawson Properties, Skip Boys and the Brackenhurst and Brackendowns Residents’ Association. Next month we will be calling for the community’s input on which areas they would like us to clean up,” Maifala said.

The clean-up will be done on every second Saturday of every month.
If you have any donations or would like to offer your services in any way, contact Maifala on 061 540 4973.
For the clean-up, the community is requested to bring along their spades, lawnmowers, weed eaters, gardening gloves and flowers to help brighten up the neighbourhood.
