Entrepreneur wins big with Meat World Alberton

Meat World customers held their breath while waiting to find out who won the store's Win-a-Car competition.

It was with mixed emotions that Meat World customers awaited the announcement of the winner of the store’s car giveaway on October 26.

Meat World Alberton customer Derick Sibabela walked away the winner of a brand-new Renault Sandero Stepway.

The entrepreneur, who has been a customer of Meat World for four years, was among 14 others at other Meat World branches who also won on the day.

Sibabela said he was excited about winning because the car would bring change to his business.

“I have a kiosk where I sell biltong and I stock my meat here at Meat World.

“I had a feeling that I would walk away with this car, and this is the best feeling ever. I am thankful for winning this car as it will make my work more convenient,” said Sibabela.

The finalists of the Meat World Win-a-Car Competition waited in anticipation to see whether they had selected the winning car key during draws which took place on the day.

Ten semi-finalists were given a chance to draw the lucky key.

Tony Martins, co-owner of Alberton Meat World, said: “We would like to congratulate Derick for his winning. He is a regular at our store and he has always supported us.”

Entry for the competition opened on June 24 and closed on October 25.

To enter, customers had to purchase goods to the value of R200 or more.
