Sixtieth anniversary of priestly ordination

PARISHIONERS of St Therese Catholic Church, Alberton, come together on December 8 to celebrate Fr Kevin Bugler’s 60th anniversary of priestly ordination.

Bugler, who turned 87 on December 7, has for 37 years been the parish priest at St Therese, Alberton.

The celebrations started with a special Mass which was followed by a lunch on the church grounds, where parishioners and friends got together to show their love and appreciation for Bugler, who has tirelessly served communities where he has been parish priest since his ordination 60 years ago.

Bugler’s deep love for people and his passion for helping the poor in the communities surrounding Alberton is well known and appreciated by all who meet him. He has a God-given talent for inspiring people during Mass, always with well-prepared and researched homilies. Parishioners of St Therese are truly blessed to have had such a dedicated priest for such a long time.
