One injured after truck falls off bridge

Michelle Avenue was closed for more than two hours after a truck accident just before 1pm on December 7.

According to Chantal Peel, a paramedic from the National Paramedical Services, the truck fell off the R59 bridge onto Michelle Avenue, closing all the lanes. “We transported one patient to a nearby hospital,” she said.

The road was closed off for a long period of time as the owner of the truck made arrangements to remove the truck from the scene.
