Man crashes into tree in Verwoerdpark

Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise the man.

At 12.29pm on December 14, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Jim Fouche Road in Verwoerdpark, Alberton.

Reports from the scene indicated that the driver of a bakkie lost control, crashing into a tree.

The patient, an adult male, sustained serious injuries.

Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him, while the fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free him from the vehicle.

Once treated, the patient was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
