UPDATE: Fire in Verwoerd Park has been contained
The scene has now been declared safe and residents can now return to the area.
The fire in Verwoerd Park has been contained, this was after a jet fuel line caught fire this morning, December 31. Eric Maloka the Media Liaison from Ekurhuleni Emergency Services has confirmed that the fire is under control and with the help of Spilltech, the fuel that was in the pipeline has been drained.
The scene has now been declared safe and residents can now return to the area.
