Near death experience for mother and children

A woman and two children escaped death when they ran from a 30 ton truck that smashed through a fence and stopped one meter from a house.

EDEN PARK – It is alleged by Bernard Hermanus, owner of 23 Ferrari Street, that the big truck was six houses from his when people noticed the truck rolling down the street with nobody inside.

“My wife and two children were coming out of the house when they saw the big truck coming towards them. She grabbed the kids and ran into the house.

“A good thing is that it was 18:00 and still light outside because if it was dark, she would not have seen the big black monster coming for them; my wife and children would have been killed.

“With people screaming and shouting, the driver came out running from the house he was visiting, but he was too late because the truck was already through the fence. I was at church in Kempton Park when I received a call and had to rush back thinking the worst had happened.

“I am happy God saved my wife and our two children. I have opened a case against the driver employed by Logico Transport,” said Bernard Hermanus.
