Kinder College sells cupcakes in support of cancer patients

"We are blessed to have support from everyone involved,” said Bester.

Kinder College hosted a Cupcakes of Hope event to raise funds for young cancer patients and children with life-threatening diseases on February 28.

Cupcakes of Hope is a community-driven project that achieves its objectives through the love of baking cupcakes, community participation, and amazing events.

Parents at the New Redruth pre-school donated cupcakes, with each cupcake sold at R10. The school raised R3 740.

Sulene Bester, a principal at the school, extended her gratitude to all parents who supported the school to help raise funds.

“We plan to raise even more funds at our next Cupcake of Hope party. It was wonderful to see parents getting involved and even more so, all our ladies working together. We are blessed to have support from everyone involved,” said Bester.

She said one of the parents at the school bought 50 cupcakes for her colleagues in support of the good cause.
