The City of Ekurhuleni is in the process of migrating to a new and improved consumer billing system.

The roll-out of the system to Alberton customer care centre will be from March 7 to 18 and the new system will be rolled out in phases until June 2020.

The City’s divisional head of communication, Nhlanhla Cebekhulu, said: “The billing processes will be affected during the system migration, therefore account statements, including on the Siyakhokha website, will be delayed.”

However, he said account payments will not be affected and all payment platforms will be available to customers.

“Customers are reminded to continue paying their monthly account by the due date, as credit control measures will still be applied. We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” said Cebekhulu.
