The number of cases in Gauteng stood at 1 598 with 979 recoveries and 12 deaths

On May 2, the City of Ekurhuleni had recorded 349 Covid-19 cases with 235 recoveries.

The number of cases in Gauteng stood at 1 598 with 979 recoveries and 12 deaths.

The figures for the sub-districts were (in brackets are the numbers recorded on April 29):

Ekurhuleni North 1 (Kempton Park, Crystal Park, Ethafeni, Olifantsfontein, Tembisa, Winnie Mandela): 69 (37)

Ekurhuleni North 2 (Bedfordview, Boksburg, Chief Albert Luthuli, Dan Kubheka, Edenvale, Endayeni, Esangweni, Itireleng, Kemston, Lethabong, Ramaphosa, Reiger Park, Van Dyk Park): 94 (92)

Ekurhuleni East 1 (Etwatwa, Daveyton, Brakpan, Tsakane): 33 (33)

Ekurhuleni East 2 (Springs, Kwa-Thema, Duduza, Nigel): 31 (29)
