Different ways to get involved with SPCA

If you are not in the position to adopt a pet but still want to reach out and help the SPCA, find out how inside.

ALBERTON – For those who are unable to adopt a pet but still want reach out to the SPCA in a positive way, here are a few things that you can do to help them.

· Become a member of the SPCA for a small fee.

· Sponsor a kennel on a monthly or annual basis.

· Sponsor prizes for raffles and fundraisers.

· Support their second-hand shop, either by buying from them or by donating unwanted goods. The Alberton SPCA also hosts a second-hand flea market every Saturday.

· Donate any animal product, including, food, toys, kennels, blankets, shampoo, de-worming tablets, tick and flea products. Products can be new or used.

· Micro-chip your pets or buy a tag for your animal from them.

· Buy pet products from them.

· If you are 16 years or older you can volunteer to help at the SPCA.

· Most importantly, look after your existing pets and keep them save.
