Amber Durham reaches out to SPCA

Amber Durham, a grade three learner from Alberview Primary School, has recently decided to make fun loom bangles to raise funds.

ALBERTON –  Amber sold these bangles to friends, family and her father’s colleagues. When she started her project she said that the proceeds would go to the SPCA. This was just in time as the SPCA was in desperate need of blankets after the distemper outbreak.

She managed to raise R515. She used this money to buy blankets that she donated to them on Monday August 18.

“I really love animals,” Amber explained to Kingstone Siziba from the SPCA, when he thanked her for her lovely gesture.

“She was very excited and happy knowing that she did a good deed to help some needy animals. As parents we are very proud,” Julie Durham, Amber’s mother, said.
