‘We can’t live like this’

Sewage problems in Eden Park, on the corner of Ray Phiri and Lambretta streets.

EDEN PARK – Lawrence Shortridge and Glenton Bunting of extension 5 in Riemvasmaak watch with displeasure and despair as the drain from hell on the corner of Ray Phiri and Lambretta streets keeps overflowing.

“The blocked drain has been bubbling out waste for the past two months. We reported the drain and a council official or inspector arrived, made some notes in his book and just left. Nobody has been back since.

“This is a health risk for our children. We have a constant bad smell and we can’t live like this,” said an angry Bunting.
