Foresta Timber makes a difference
They are in the business to make a difference. Foresta Timber Group is a company that believe they can help improve the community in making life a little better for someone who is less fortunate by giving their time, commitment and donations.
ALBERTON – The company wanted to give back to the community and realised they do have the ability to make a difference, so they started various charity projects. Staff participated in donating non-perishable foods and old clothes.
The Sales and Marketing Team visited the Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services last week and donated some items. At Hospice they met CEO Tersia Burger and the head of nursing Sheryl Newman, who gave them a little inside glimpse of what Hospice is all about.
“The staff and volunteers at Hospice do amazing work and it was a real eye-opener for us. Our team realised that everyone has the ability to make a difference and that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” said Angie Botha, retails sales and marketing manager at Foresta Timber.
“We will definitely get more involved in 2015 and help this organisation to keep their promise of improving the quality of remaining life of their patients. We challenge you to do the same. Participating in community service projects can be a powerful way to have a positive impact on the community and the lives of many people who are in need of assistance.”
