11 Children injured in collision involving minibus and truck
Twelve people have been injured in a collision on Heidelberg Road, this morning.
A Toyota Condor, transporting 11 children, collided with an articulated truck on Heidelberg Road, travelling in the direction of Leondale, Germiston City News reported earlier.
William Ntladi, the media liaison officer for the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services said, “All the children have been transported to hospital with various injuries.
“Five children have critical injuries, five are in a serious but stable condition and one suffered minor injuries.
“The driver of the Toyota also suffered minor injuries.”
Heidelberg Road, in the direction of Leondale, has been closed to traffic until emergency services have cleared the scene.
