Stage 2 load shedding schedule
Eskom declared load shedding from this 08:00 this morning until 22:00 this evening.
The areas that should be affected according to the schedule are the following:
07:30 – 10:30 Brackenhurst and Extentions 1 & 2, Mayberrypark and Extention 1, Brackendowns and Extensions 1, 2, 3 & 4
10:00 – 13:00 Raceview, Southcrest, Newmarket (Pick n Pay), New-Redruth, Alberante and Extensions
12:30 – 15:30 Randhart Ext 1& 2, General Alberts Park and Randhart
15:00 – 18:00 Brackendowns 5, Albertsdal, Thokoza South (Ext 1 & 2), Thokoza Gardens, Everest, Unit F, Vergenoeg, Edenpark & Extentions, Greenfields, PholaPark & Extentions, Thinasonke
17:30 – 20:30 Civic Centre and CBD area, Alberton North and Extentions, Parklands Area, Florentia and Extentions, Verwoerd Park and Extentions
20:00 – 23:00 Meyersdal: Meyersdal (Eco Estate & Nature Estate), Thokoza North (Mpilisweni, Phenduka Section, Basothong Sections and Hostels)
Consumers may be affected by load shedding as per schedule above depending on how much load must be shed. The request from Eskom range from 10 MW to 300 MW and depending on how much must be load shed, the affected Areas in a block may be equitably reduced.
