14 injured in Brackendowns taxi crash

A total of 14 people were injured his morning after a taxi rolled on the R59 Kliprivier Road in Brackendowns.

BRACKENDOWNS – Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg South branch, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the taxi sitting upright on the side of the road. The occupants from the vehicle were found walking around on scene.

According to ER24 Spokesperson, Russel Meiring, “On assessment, paramedics discovered that 14 occupants from the taxi had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no-one had sustained any serious injuries.

“Paramedics treated the patients on scene for their injuries and thereafter transported them to Natalspruit Hospital for further observations.”

It is believed that the collision occurred when the tyre of the taxi burst.
