Government employee caught speeding on N12

According to a press release from EMPD six speedsters have been caught driving between 164km/h and 224km/h, one of which was a government employee.

ALBERTON – The government employee was  traveling a speed of 224km/h on the N12 highway in Alberton, today.The female government employee was driving a BMW, and was one of six people caught speeding.

According to EMPD spokesperson, Kobeli Mokheseng, the 34 year old female government employee will spend the night behind bars, she stated that she was speeding because she was late for work.

The six speedsters have been charged with reckless and negligent driving and will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
