Areas without water in Alrode South

A burst pipe has left Alrode South without water for days

ALRODE – Bosworth Street businesses, in Alrode South, have reportedly been without water for three days due to a burst water pipe in the area.The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) has released a statement saying they are aware of the interruption.

The water pressure has been low since Wednesday, May 13, because of the burst pipe. EMM technicians are currently on site repairing the fault in Thokoza. The pipe is located in Gardens Atlas Street. Areas which are affected are Alberton South, Thokoza Garden and Albertsdal.

According to EMM senior media officer Lebogang Ramashala, water supply is expected to be restored by 12:00 today (May 15). The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
