Ligstad adding to children’s joy at Klipkoppiefees 2015

For the second consecutive year, Ligstad had the honour of serving families who attended the Klipkoppiefees 2015, at Meyer Farm.

ALBERTON – Many individuals assisted Ligstad in preparing interesting sweet packets and homemade sweets. A variety of products were sold to the public visiting the tent, which was situated in the children’s entertainment area behind the open stage.

There were plenty of activities for children to enjoy, including a colouring competition, face painting, coloured hair spray and kiddie’s manicures for the little princesses.

None of the above would have been possible without the Klipkoppiefees committee, volunteers who assisted by manning the tent throughout the three days of the festival and the many generous donations received.

Alida Jooste, the social worker of Ligstad, commented that it is heart-warming to experience and witness how a community can get together and support festivals like the Klipkoppiefees, knowing that the community it serves is being taken care of. She thanked each and every person who played a role in this effort to raise money for service delivery.
