Motorcyclist injured on R59
Paramedics found that the man had sustained serious injuries during the accident.
ALBERANTE — A 27-year-old motorcyclist was injured during a single vehicle accident on the N12, near the R59-freeway in Alberante, on Sunday, August 16.
Santi Steinmann, a Netcare 911 spokesperson, said paramedics arrived on the scene just after 07:00 and found the motorcyclist in the road.
“Upon assessment of the man, paramedics found that he had sustained serious injuries during the accident,” she said.
“The injured man was treated on the scene and transported to hospital in the care of an advanced life support paramedic, for the further treatment needed.”
Exact details surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear at this stage.
