MIDVAAL – A multi-vehicle collision on the R59 South after the Blockhouse Engen garage occurred today (August 31). The crash, according to National Paramedical Services’ spokesperson Kevin Peel, was between two trucks and three light motor vehicles.

Four patients have reportedly been transported from the scene. Three have been taken to the Netcare Union hospital in Alberton, Peel stated. One patient reportedly had to be cut out of his vehicle.

Traffic on the R59 South is heavily delayed and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
