Pensioner robbed in broad daylight

The 66-year-old was robbed of all his cash and his Sassa card.

WITH the streets being somewhat empty on the public holiday on Monday, March 21, robbers took their chances and robbed a 66-year-old man in broad daylight.

According to the police report, the elderly man was walking alone in Brown Street around 14:00 on his way to Palmridge when he was suddenly grabbed by two male assailants.

One of the suspects held the old man while the other searched his pockets. They took all his cash and his Sassa card and then ran away.

The pensioner reported that he knows the suspects and where they stay and that the case is being investigated by Eden Park SAPS.
