“THIS was one of my big projects I had to start and see that it was completed and be in use to serve the community by making life easier and convenient,” said Clr Robert Pienaar. The construction of the taxi rank started in 2014 and took two years to complete, at a cost of R16-million. According to Clr Pienaar the taxi rank has been built in a very convenient spot. It is near the Palmridge Combined School and the shopping centre, as well as the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court.
The taxi rank will officially be opened in the near future and the taxis will operate on many different routes according to commuter demand.
