Pick n Pay celebrates Mother’s Day

Pick 'n Pay Brackenhurst hosted the sixth year of celebrating Mother's Day on Saturday, May 7.

IT was all about mothers at Pick n Pay Brackenhurst on Saturday, May 7.

This is the sixth year in which Pick n Pay Brackenhurst hosted the special cake decorating event in celebration of Mother’s Day.

For the last number of years, Andreas Demetriou, franchisee of the Brackenhurst Pick n Pay, has wanted to thank the mothers of the local community by celebrating Mother’s Day in a special way.

Children between the ages of two and 12 were invited to decorate a cake to give to moms on Mother’s Day.

The store provided the sponge cake, crème, and decorations, as well as experienced cake decorators to assist the young people, and great fun was had by all.

Demetriou would like to thank the following teams for their continual support in achieving a fantastic event:

*Pick n Pay Support Office and staff; Riches and their technical team, people involved in the bakery and assisting on the outside, and all the sponge used for the cakes;

*Goosebumps and their technical team for their free stock of rolls, and tech assistance on Mother’s Day weekend;

*South Bakels and their technical team that assisted during the week with free stock and the reps that assisted as well.

“I had lots of fun, it’s the fourth year I’ve done this,” said eight-year-old Dharma Kloppers.
