In order to make way for the work, the municipality is implementing a complete power supply interruption in parts of Alrode in Alberton until late this afternoon.
The affected area in Thokoza is Phenduka Section and is expected to be fully restored by midnight.
The City of Ekurhuleni apologies for the inconvenience caused and urges residents to treat electrical network as actively alive at all times.
