Alberton SAPS talk to high school learners

The Police conducted a talk at a high school in the Alberton area on Monday, 16 May.

ALBERTON police held a talk at a high school in the Alberton SAPS‘ policing district on Monday, May 16.

The acting Vispol (visible police) head captain, Solomon Matlou, addressed the learners.

While Police were busy talking to the learners about substance abuse and bullying, the principal requested that the officers search one of the classrooms.

During the search, a match box full of dagga was found on the floor. The box was confiscated and no one was arrested.

The SAPS also encourage parents to minimise the amount of money they give to learners.

“Most of the learners at the school had a lot of money and that results in them buying drugs and alcohol with the extra money they have,” said spokesperson for the Alberton SAPS, Sergeant Phora Nkuna.
