POLICE arrested three suspects, two for dealing in drugs, one for a robbery from 2007, on Friday, May 20.
While driving in Alberton, the police from Ekurhuleni West Cluster Task Team stopped a vehicle with three occupants inside and checked if it was not stolen. The car was not found to be stolen, but when they checked the occupants, they found out that one of the occupants was wanted for a robbery that occurred in Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2007. The man was arrested and will be taken to KwaZulu-Natal where he will answer to the alleged charges.
In another incident two males were arrested for dealing drugs at Phumula after police received a tip-off.
An operation was planned together with Metro Police and the suspected addresses were visited. Dagga, nyaope, rocks and cash were confiscated and the two suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs. One of the suspects had been arrested before for the same offence.
“We thank the community for working with us and not taking the law into their own hands. Together we can win the battle against crime and to all those who are involved, let us not stop there, keep up the good work,” said the station commander Colonel PP Sekoma. The two suspects will appear at Germiston court to answer to the alleged charges.
