SAPS keeps Alberton safe

All the suspects will appear at Palm Ridge and Germiston court to answer to the alleged charges.

WHILE the Alberton SAPS were doing patrols they noticed something that was not right at a business in Alberton North and responded to instinct and found out that a business robbery was in progress.

Two suspects were arrested on the scene and a firearm with its serial number filed off and ammunition were recovered. Another 10 suspects were arrested in the area by the police during normal crime prevention duties, stop and search and tracing operations conducted by Sector Members, Flying Squad, Metro Police and Detectives on May 24.

The suspects were arrested for the following alleged offences: assault, possession of drugs, fraud, selling liquor without a licence, reckless and negligent driving, use of vehicle without consent, shoplifting, contempt of court and malicious damage to property.

All the suspects will appear at the Palm Ridge and Germiston courts to answer to the alleged charges.
