SAPS on car safety

THE South African Police Service gives citizens some advice on how to keep your vehicles safe.

“We care about residents’ vehicles and residents can help us to keep them safe. When there are functions, meetings or any other gathering at schools, churches, sports grounds or any other venues where there will be a lot of cars, please make sure the police are informed so as to carry out patrols. Report any suspicious vehicles, people or activities around your gathering venue.

We also advise that all security features of vehicles should be activated at all times, even if the vehicle is in sight,” advises Sergeant Phora Nkuna, spokesperson for the Alberton SAPS.
