IT took a vigilant car guard to get a conman arrested. The man went to shopping centres, approached people with a long tale telling them they have the opportunity to go back into a certain store, take what they want and need and then they will get it at staff discounted prices. He then also offered to keep their handbags, for easy shopping and would meet them inside the store.
Upon tricking a lady victim, and when she realised the man was not coming back with her handbag, money and cellphone, the car guard, who had been keeping a close eye on this, apprehended the man and called the police.
The man was arrested and will appear at Palm Ridge Court to answer to the alleged charges. Community members are requested not to trust strangers with their belongings – no matter what is on offer.
