Christmas in July party for Kabelo Primary School

On Saturday July 16, the learners came from 12 primary schools in the area, and ranged from 9 to 13 years of age.

THE Lions Club of Alberton and volunteers hosted a Mandela Day “Christmas in July” party for 150 disadvantaged children, at Kabelo Primary School, in Katlehong.

On Saturday, July 16, learners, ranging from nine to 13 years of age, came from 12 primary schools in the area.

When they arrived at the school, they were given beverages, fruit and crisps.

They then started participating in various fun activities, like soccer, netball, relay races, putt-putt, cupcake decorating, colouring-in and tattoos.

At lunch time, after enjoying a meal, including dessert, they continued with the activities. Happy learners and educators were given gift packs donated by members of the Alberton Lions Club before they left.
