CPF recovers vehicle

Another successful night for the Alberton CPF.

THE ALBERTON CPF has once again proved what a valuable asset it is to the Alberton community.

A concerned member of the community alerted the forum to a suspicious vehicle which was parked in the South Crest area, on the eve of Monday, July 11.

With the assistance of SOG Security, a closer inspection revealed that the vehicle had been hot-wired.

The CPF contacted the SAPS immediately, and it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen in 2014.

Further investigation resulted in one suspect being arrested.

Alberton CPF would like to thank the community member for passing on the information, which led to the arrest and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.

The forum also thanks SOG Security for their persistent efforts in helping whenever assistance is needed. This proves that we, as a community, can fight crime by working together as a team.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to the Alberton CPF, SAPS, or your security company.

For more information, contact Derek Gouws, the deputy chairperson, on 078 653 6608.
