ON Wednesday, July 20, the Eden Park SAPS arrested a 30-year-old man from Greenfields for the possession of dagga, with a street value of R6 000.

The successful arrest was aided by a concerned parent, who could no longer stand her son’s habit of selling or dealing in dagga and other drugs.

“A concerned and tearful woman from Greenfields, who asked to remain anonymous, came to us to complain about her drug dealing son,” said Capt Vusi Mhlophe.

”She reported that the son had been arrested on numerous occasions, but was let free every time.”

The captain added that, when the police arrived at the woman’s house, they found the son with two plastic bags filled with packages of dagga that were ready to sell.

“We arrested the man and he appeared in the Palmridge Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 21.” said Mhlope.
