CPS Security strikes against crime

A woman’s car was targeted by two men.

THE owner of a new Mazda BT50 recently became a victim of crime when her spare wheel was stolen and her vehicle was damaged, when two males targeted it at a shopping centre.

The thieves were driving a silver Toyota Conquest and the registration number could be seen on camera.

After the victim was informed, she also informed her private security company, CPS Security, and gave them the information.

At about 21:00 on the same day, the vehicle was spotted by one of the tactical team members, who immediately reacted.

With the help of a member of Brackendowns Police Station and two members of the >EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit, the vehicle was pulled over. Tools and other items were recovered, as well as the lock from the complainant’s vehicle.

The driver was arrested and detained by the Alberton SAPS for theft from a motor vehicle and malicious damage to property.

“A big thanks to a vigilant and dedicated CPS Security member, who was off duty at the time,” said Nardus Hollander, a CPS member.
