Police give safety tips

People must be careful when buying second-hand goods.

ALBERTON SAPS are hands on when it comes to dealing with second-hand goods.

The process of applying for a dealer’s license was recently explained to people by Sgt Fatiwane Mukosi, while Capt Solomon Matlou shared safety tips on how to protect their businesses. They were also warned not to buy stolen goods.

Stakeholders and the SAPS are working together in order to fight crime. “There will be no market for stolen items in the Alberton policing area. We also encourage the community not to buy stolen items and create a market for them,” said the police members.
