Castillian introduces a new cleaning system

JUNIOR Colleges Castillian has implemented a new colour-coded cleaning system for the school.

The hygiene policy at Junior Colleges Castillian is of the utmost importance, with young children dependent on staff for nappy changing, toilet training and preparation of food. It is vital that staff are adequately trained and follow good hygiene practice guidelines.

“The system put in place makes cleaning easy, efficient and in turn, increases general hygiene and cleanliness,” says Kumari Lewis, communications administrator, for Junior Colleges.

Colour-coded cleaning is the process of designating colours to cleaning equipment in certain areas of the school, reducing the spread of germs across areas and increasing hygiene throughout.

The four main colours used to separate areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, classrooms, food preparation areas and washrooms, are red, blue, green and yellow.
