Daylight robbers caught in minutes

The thieves were arrested and kept in a holding cell until their court appearance at the Palmridge Magistrate's Court.

A MAN, known to the Record, was robbed by two men armed with a knife on Friday, September 23 at 16.30. The incident happened at the corner of Petersen and Wynkwaardt streets, Eden Park.

Police reported that one of the thieves with a knife held the man while his partner took R100 and a cellphone from the victim’s pockets and ran away.

The victim ran to the police station where a vehicle was dispatched. Just a few metres from the police station down Abraham Street, the victim identified the suspects walking leisurely up the street.

The suspects were arrested and kept in a holding cell until their court appearance at the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court.
