Waterstone hosts party for Lerato

Children from Lerato Educational Centre were kept busy with loads of fun activities, games and treats

WATERSTONE College recently held its annual Christmas party for approximately 500 children from Lerato Educational Centre.

Lorna Abrahamse, who runs the school charity and is also the councillor, said they’ve had a relationship with the Lerato Educational Centre for years now – and mothers of children at Waterstone also help the Lerato children with reading. This year marks the third year that Waterstone has hosted a party for the children.

Children from the age of three to grade three, were welcomed by staff at Waterstone College and were entertained from 09:00 to 13:00.

About 100 of the Waterstone College youngsters were at different stations at the school, running the programmes.

Each child left with a gift bag full of goodies; colouring books, crayons, sweets, biscuits etc.

The children were kept busy with loads of fun activities, games and treats. There were horses for horse rides; water balloon throwing; clowns, jumping castles, games, face painting, and loads more.
