A TACTICAL unit officer from Fox Security, Stephen Nell’s quick reaction led to the arrest of one suspect.
He was patrolling in Bentonite Street on December 8 at 09:00 when a man stopped him and told him that someone had stolen his red Nissan 1400 bakkie a while ago and that he had seen the stolen bakkie driving around in Alrode.
As Stephen turned into Barium Street, he saw the stolen bakkie and called for backup. Constable Riaan Venter and his colleague arrived on the scene and the vehicle was handed over to them. It was confirmed that it was the stolen vehicle and one suspect was arrested.
