JUNIOR Colleges Castillian proudly announced their new Potty Class teacher, Hilda Mosheshe.
The 32-year-old was born in Bloemfontein and then re-located to Soweto a few years back.
“I adore children and before starting at Junior Colleges Castillian, I was teaching Early Childhood Development (Grade R),” says the passionate young woman.
“We created a position for Hilda, because we observed the talent and drive in her,” says Elizabeth Steenkamp, Principal of the school.
“I’m very proud of her. She proved to be an outstanding assistant teacher, sharing her knowledge and showing a tremendous amount of care and passion towards the little ones in her care. “Hilda is now a teacher in her own right, teaching one of our two potty classes,” adds Steenkamp.
When asked about goals and aspirations she may have for the future, she makes it clear that she loves working with this particular age group and is well prepared to take on any challenge that she is faced with.
Her studies are also a priority and seeks to one day manage her own school.
“What I love about Castillian is that they focus so much on further training and development for all their staff – and always look for new and effective ways of teaching children,” says Mosheshe.
“I’m currently busy with my Bachelor’s Degree, so education is very important to me,” she adds.
