March against crime takes place in Alberton

The turnout was not very good, but that did not stop those who attended from showing their support in the fight against crime.

A MARCH against crime was held in Alberton recently, which saw community members, ward councillors, security companies and the police getting involved.

On Saturday, February 25, the march kicked off at 10:00, from the Meyersdal Mall through Alberton.

The turnout was not very good, but that did not stop those who attended from showing their support for the fight against crime.

“People love to complain, but when it comes time to do something, nobody does anything. We all need to start standing up for what is right and stop complaining if we’re not willing to act,” said one of the marchers.
