Four arrested for car-breaking on Dormehl Street

They are being detained at the Brackendowns SAPS.

FOUR men were arrested on Friday, March 24, after Constable Riaan Venter from the Brackendowns SAPS caught them trying to steal his vehicle.

CPS Security received a call at approximately 05:00 regarding a suspicious white Volkswagen Polo that was driving up and down Dormehl Street. Their reaction units were dispatched.

THE CAR: They suspects were spotted roaming the street in this car.

Upon their arrival the four suspects were confronted, with Venter’s help, as the suspects were attempting to steal his motor vehicle from inside his yard. All four suspects were arrested and a case of possession of car-breaking implements and attempted car theft was opened.

Report any form of crime to the Brackendowns SAPS on 011 617 5600.

TOOLS: Car-breaking equipment was found in the suspects’ possession.
